Stones

In another moment
There will be light
Under the dark of
Gathered stones
Where I rested my head
And where it diffused its senses
Where I gathered pain
And softened souls
Which had to be otherwise
Direct and harsh
Indirect and shy
It floundered
Like dust in sky
Then it shivered
Like water under the stones
Where I rested my head
Hoping it’ll dissolve
Into sands of time
Carry the footprints
Disappearing once
Disappearing forever
The perpetual pain
The bearings of plain
Shadowy, ghostly tenacity
And remind of nothing
No experience to recount
No further brooding
No choice to choose
No nature to shoot
Or complain of
Self
And abhor the very thought
Of shaking the roots
Of now
That has long been not sought
